How it works
- The four functions are housed in the camera module, facing the road. The camera is positioned underneath the central rearview mirror inside the cabin, without disturbing the driver's field of vision.
- The system starts up automatically as soon as the vehicle moves off and then scans the road constantly, even in low light levels (1 lux).
- A prerecorded voice explains the initial settings, then delivers a number of voice messages relating to the four functions, guiding the driver throughout the journey (several languages available).
- In addition to the voice messages, visual signals appear at the back of the camera unit, informing the driver of the activation of functions during the journey.
All guideo™ functions can be easily adjusted or disabled using the remote control.
guideo™ also informs the driver of the journey time remaining every hour, encouraging frequent breaks.
Beep&watch

- The Beep&watch function compares sequential images in order to identify any movement in front of the vehicle, alerting the driver when the vehicle in front moves forward. This system is activated three seconds after the vehicle stops.
Lane Alert

- The Lane Alert function uses an algorithm to detect any crossing of the white lane marker and immediately alerts the driver with a sound or visual signal. The alert is issued as soon as the wheel crosses the line, leaving the driver enough time to recover control of the vehicle.
- The level of forewarning can be adjusted by programming the distance of the alert.
Optilane

- The Optilane function uses the algorithm to identify any deviation from lane markings, and warning the driver to correct the trajectory. The alert is given as soon as the vehicle has moved to the left or right for five seconds.
- The Lane Alert and Optilane functions are switched off whenever the driver uses the indicators, indicating a deliberate intention to cross the line.
- The system is activated when the vehicle reaches a certain speed, set by the driver.
- It works with both white and yellow markings.
Video Box
- The Video box function prompts the recording of 20-second videos in the event of a sudden acceleration or loss of speed, and can record thirty videos, which are updated in chronological order. This allows the system to record the moments immediately before and after the impact.
- The videos can then be transferred to a computer screen via a simple USB connection, for viewing or sending.
- The Video box system can also be activated by the driver independently of a change of acceleration via a button on the unit or the remote.
