FAQ

 

1. Lane departure warnings are given even though the indicator has been activated.

  • Check that the indicator is properly connected.

2. No sound comes out of the device.

  • Check that the power cable is correctly connected. If the power is not connected, there will be no display.
  • Check that all the features have been disabled.
  • Check that the sound level has not been minimized.

3. No warning is given in the event of lane departure.

  • The Lane Alert and Optilane feature start to operate after two seconds of tracking road markings. So after passing a crossroads or an area without markings, the warning will be given after 2 seconds of tracking.
  • If you cross the line again while the warning message is active, the second warning message is deleted.
  • If the road is narrow, the sound signal is deferred, for the comfort of the driver.
  • Check that the correct angle is set.

4. The Beep&Watch system doesn't come on.

  • Check that the LED display is on. The screen should read "00:00".
  • This feature is enabled when the vehicle is stationary. Make sure the vehicle is at a complete standstill.

5. The device can get quite hot.

  • In hot summer weather or in direct sunlight, it may get hot as a result of external heat.
  • The internal electronic circuit and speaker may generate some heat without the system breaking down.

6. The Optilane system doesn't come on.

  • Check that the LED display is on. The screen should read "00:00".
  • If no markings are present or if both lines are very faint, this feature will not work properly.

7. The Video Box is not saving video images.

  • Check that the video box activation threshold is at the correct level (sensitivity to acceleration in g). The Video Box records video images only if an acceleration greater than 0.4 g occurs in any direction.

8. Warning occurs without lane departure.

  • Check the timing of the warning. If it is on the minimum setting, the driver may feel that the warning is too fast or occurs without any line being crossed.
  • In bad weather, or on roads under construction or roads where lines have been erased, guideo™ may not recognise the road lines properly.
